New World Order . . . Which One?

There is no doubt we are now looking at several ‘New World Orders’, of which the first is unprecedented in shape, size and power. The internet has changed forever how we interact as a species, undermining the old power bases that controlled Society.

In the past that power was wielded by keeping us in ignorance and separated by Race, Colour, Creed and Gender, causing constant conflict with the use of these ‘labels’. The internet is lifting the veils on how the world is run and uniting us against the real adversaries this unveiling has produced.

However, this new technology carries a double edged sword, as the very means by which we are becoming empowered is also the tool by which the minority now seek to contain that empowerment.

Global communications have become so sophisticated now that our thinking is being manipulated by spin, creating fear and uncertainty in minutes.

(The Greek crisis saw the media hold the Greek people accountable for the country’s financial problems. And we believed it until the internet showed us how American banks and Greek politicians had brought the people to their knees by contemptuous deception.)

When America became the global super power, it consolidated its position through the inauguration of such bodies as the United Nations and the International Monetary Fund. Whilst both appear to be ‘international’, they are supporting and promoting the political and financial power of America.

We have seen the IMF at work in its ferocious subjugation of the Greek people, also providing a subtle message to the rest of us to back off. There is always spin when these bodies make a power grab and with the Greek people ‘Austerity’ was promoted as making the people more responsible in manging their money, whilst stripping the country of its national assets.

The UN have now embarked upon a truly scary programme, hidden in a vast spin ‘to aid humanity’, as they make a grab for world government.

In September they launched a new ‘Universal Agenda for Humanity’. They did not ask our permission but rather issued a command that we all sign up to 17 sustainable development goals to radically transform the world by 2030.

To widen its remit the UN also called on the services of the Pope, who went to America to put his organisations support behind what is effectively Agenda 21 – World domination – on steroids! (Read the Guardians coverage of Agenda 21 here: http://tinyurl.com/pbh6dca)

To give you a flavour, Goal 16.9 intends that biometric information, stored at a central database in Geneva, be held on every man, women and child on the Planet by 2030. (What’s with 2030?!) The spin is that it is being done on humanitarian grounds, because of the growing population of homeless refugees who need credible identities to find new homes.

OK, but the rest of us (the vast majority) are not homeless and so why do we need one?!

Then we move from political control to financial control, as cash is removed from our day to day lives and replaced with digitised money, which can be controlled, (and allow ongoing negative interest rates), whereas paper currency cannot. This will ‘make our money safer, fighting crime and money laundering’ is the spin given here.

Money has been converted into debt and Austerity is spun as the means by which we control our sovereign finances to pay back that debt, whilst our public utilities are sold off at a fraction of their worth and governments are brought under the control of an unelected IMF.

TTIP, spun as a Trade Deal, will further erode the power of our elected governments with its insidious ISDS clause, allowing corporations to sue governments if legislation threatens their profits. (Any attempt at regulation goes out the window here!)

Then there is ‘Surveillance’, the extent of which Edward Snowden and others have made us frighteningly aware of. Rather than cutting back however, it is being ramped up and spun as effectively ‘fighting Terrorism’.

Except it was the CIA who supported the birthing of these terror groups in the first place, to keep us fighting amongst ourselves whilst it pursues its own power grabbing agenda. All of which is fronted by the global media propaganda machine spinning our attention away from these realities by creating fear through constant crises.

This diversity of strategies, to usurp sovereign power, points to a growing potential ‘New World Orders’ that is seeking the abusive type of global governance George Orwell alluded to in his famous book 1984.

Worrying as it looks, I have my doubts about possibility of performance. If we look at the EU, here is a project that has been slowly nurtured over decades to control Europe. Political and financial power has stealthily been acquired by gradually usurping national powers, spun as ‘European Unity’.

However, this is being done with great secrecy, thereby distancing the 500 million of us that pay for it all. For this, or any project, to be a success there has to be inclusion, leadership and management.

Instead we have political concession, dictatorship, financial belligerence and abuse, creating a widening gap between the powerful and the people. There is certainly no clear agenda with which to deal with unemployment, financial mismanagement and now immigration, showing the EU up for what it truly is . . . another power grab.

If the deputy to the President has just admitted that people have lost all respect for the credibility of the politicians and their system and that the “unimaginable is now becoming imaginable” in the collapse of the EU, then this speaks volumes in where Society has now got to.

We are not the Society we were when this project began in 1957. We have become more aware of the lies and political shenanigans that have been going on for 60 years. It has cost us untold freedoms and money that we could have used for our own sovereign benefit.

What is spreading across Europe and other parts of the world is the demand for the return of our power, which we can exercise in a more closely controlled and beneficial environment, because we again have a say over what goes on.

And here I get to the third of the ‘New World Orders’, as our growing awareness begins to empower us in a manner we have never experienced before. I see “the imaginable” with the EU as just the beginning, calling a halt to the manipulations of the powerful and their impossible dream of world governance.

Where it will take us I do not know but we are no longer the illiterate serfs that global power was previously built upon. What I do know is that if we put our energies into developing our own independent media, something the internet was born for and stop being engineered into fighting amongst ourselves, we will increase our own power exponentially as the first step to creating our own ‘New World Order’.

Thinking from his Book: Global Magna Carta. Returning Power to the 99% . . . If They Want It! By J T Coombes

EU . . . Let’s Start Again!

I have never hidden my contempt for what the EU has now become and I am sure this reflects the attitude of the unelected bureaucrats in Brussels who increasingly hold sway over 500 million of us.

Originally it was a project that made sense, as it focussed on free movement of labour, capital, goods and services. When it’s true size and potential was recognised (the EU now accounts for 15% of global GDP), monetary and fiscal ‘union’ became the new goals, as financiers waded in and democracy began to whither.

Control of political ‘union’ became the priority and Bernard Connolly’s paper ‘Europe: Driver or Drive. EMU and the lust for Crisis’ identified how crisis could achieve that control.

Environmental Issues would increase control over member countries. Terrorism would increase control of state surveillance, police and judicial issues. Global Financial Crisis would provide the excuse for Europe wide regulation and global financial governance. European Monetary Union would create the crisis to force the introduction of European economic government.

Britain was not prepared to accede to both political and financial union and so ‘contrived crises achieved the desired control behind our backs. These tactics demonstrated that we are dealing with un-elected representatives whose primary loyalty and concern is not with the people of Europe.

As Oliver Hartwich wrote in Why Europe Failed “The people of Europe did not suddenly wake up one day and demand they be bound together by a supra-national organisation. Neither did they demand to give up their national currencies in return for the euro. Indeed there has never been a popular movement for any sort of European integration”.

So how did it become so large an entity? If ‘crisis’ provided the goals, three disciplines fuelled the growth, of which language was the first. In 1957 when the Treaty of Rome lauded the famous four freedoms of “labour, services, goods and capital” it also had an innocuous commitment to “ever closer union among peoples”.

At the time this was lost in the excitement about a Common Market but provided the powerful with the tool with which to push for closer ties and the greater centralisation of power. And what better way to achieve this than by the second discipline of law-making?

The European Court of Justice was brought into being with the express purpose of asserting its own supremacy over and above the role of our parliaments. The European Communities Act 1972 states that:

Section 2 (1) means that provisions of EU law that are directly applicable or have direct effect, such as EU Regulations or certain articles of the EU Treaties, are automatically “without further enactment” incorporated and binding in national law without the need for a further Act of Parliament

Having control of the language and law-making all that is left for absolute control is the third discipline . . . money! The inauguration of the European Central Bank and its plaything, the euro, provides a level of control that is truly sinister. It allows peripheral nations to borrow cheaply under conditions that provide an ‘ever closer union’ and bring them into line through the application of debt. (I am indebted to Nick O’Connor of Capital and Conflict for his insightfulness here.)

Margaret Thatcher immediately saw this threat when the ECB was first muted and warned against it:

“If I were [in charge], there would be no European central bank accountable to no one, least of all national Parliaments. The point of that kind of Europe with a central bank is no democracy, taking powers away from every single Parliament, and having a single currency, a monetary policy and interest rates which take all political power away from us.”

How prophetic her words, as the IMF and ECB have now demonstrated by bringing Greece to its knees with debt. Followed up immediately by the invasion of unelected technocrats who pour over and interfere in every aspects of the countries workings, down to the processes used by bakeries!

What we are now moving to, with fiscal union, is a United States of Europe and if Britain does not join it will remain a fully paying member, obeying its rules but without the ability to influence decision making.

This is what the “Remain In” campaigners are threatening, amongst them the twice disgraced member of Tony Blair’s government, Peter Mandelson. Given his long standing membership of the Bilderberg group, one of the corporate world’s most powerful groups, I take his words with a pinch of salt. A view supported by recent words from EU President Juncker’s deputy, Frans Timmerman who said:

“What was unimaginable before now becomes imaginable, namely the disintegration of the European project. The European ideals still have very strong support among the population across Europe. What do not have strong support are European politicians and European politics”

As more and more countries demand the return of sovereign powers to national governments the power grab by the technocrats is seeding its own self destruction. Democracy is an integral part of every one of us and the EU’s growing dictatorship flies in the face of this natural order.

If Britain leaves others will follow, because the whole project is now fatally flawed, with the financial crisis, limited growth, unemployment and now immigration. We need a new ‘Phoenix’ to rise from the ashes in the shape of, say, a European ‘Trade’ Council, focussing upon refining trading between member countries and run by the people who pay for it all and have the greatest interest in its success . . . Companies, Unions and Taxpayers.

From this foundation growth can occur organically, with political power contained within the borders of each country, jointly committing to a mandate to support the development of a people driven union.

TTIP . . . Our Dilemma

As the cigarette giant Philip Morris jets their lawyers around the planet to sue Uruguay, Australia and also prepare to sue the UK for legislation that threatens profits, even before TTIP is a signed deal, it begs the question as to whether they know something we don’t and are honing their skills for the new era of corporate domination.

If so, will we see cigarette packets stripped of Government health warnings, leaving Society with the bill for the resultant increased health care costs? Will education be censored from making our young aware of the dangers, undoing the good work that has gradually stigmatised this unhealthy habit?

Fracking is no different, as stories from the US tell of corporations pumping chemicals, they are not prepared to disclose, under people’s homes and leaving communities with the expense of clearing up after them. This includes the cost of healthcare for people and workers affected by the process and polluted water systems, both caused by these secret chemicals.

When you get right down to it, since they got away with the 2007 financial bail outs for the banks the whole corporate world is now jumping on the bandwagon, by introducing trade agreements that will have taxpayers picking up the bill for all the unprofitable parts of their operations. In so doing the protection we have always relied upon (eventually) from our governments, through laws safeguarding our best interests as a Society, will be swept aside.

Will all of our public services be turned over to the private sector, because they are competing with privately run businesses and therefore harming profits? Will our refuse and sewage works be compromised, as they are ‘streamlined’ to accommodate the bottom line, again threatening our health and safety?

All of this is possible because democracy is being neutered. Politicians will be able to coast along in ‘Club Westminster’, turning away our protests and concerns over irresponsible corporate activity by throwing their hands in the air and declaring they can do nothing because of TTIP!

As the thick blanket of secrecy clothes another step in the corporate bid for global domination, for me, the penny has suddenly dropped!

We are seeing a repeat, albeit now globally, of what happened 800 years ago in England. Only then it was perpetrated by a King who was driven by his belief in his ‘Divine Right’ to do as he pleased. In those days Medieval Society accepted that the country was ruled by the King in conjunction with the next tier of rulers, the Barons and whose vested interests the King had to negotiate with – Medieval ‘democracy’!

The problem came when King John saw himself as sufficiently powerful that he could simply ignore the law and protocol and ‘over’ rule everything. Today we have global corporations flouting laws and even national constitutions as they too seek to do as they please.

Eventually a tipping point was reached in 1215 when the Barons had had enough and said so, bringing the unruly King back under control with the power of the written word . . . Magna Carta.

Today the only way to fight a trade agreement is with another more powerful agreement that counter sues each corporation for the increased tax burden their actions inflict upon Society. (Should our governements find the balls to fight back!) History is now repeating itself with the abuse and there is no reason why it should not also repeat itself with the solution. QED! See more here: http://tinyurl.com/pyvgsqn

The dilemma modern Society faces is not so much the global nature of the problem but one of time. Can we wait for our governments to reach that ‘Enough’ tipping point, as corporate abuse wreaks havoc upon our planet and scientists warn that climate change is reaching its own natural tipping point, which no amount of agreements will reverse?

We are in completely different and unprecedented times to those that birthed Magna Carta and the Occupy movement has taught us two things about these new times. The speed with which a movement can become global, (so many are now) and that if it is going to make a lasting impact it must have the political power with which to fight.

Greece and Spain are showing political grass roots of discontent but I fear we are seeing extreme Left views fighting extreme Right views and history has taught us that extremism never works. We now need political movements that tread the middle ground of human values and powerful people to support those movements.

This is my stab at those values, as a starting point to looking at a new world order that people are quite capable of achieving . . . If they want to! http://www.globalmagnacarta.net/

EU . . . Too Big To Fail!

EU photo

I have never been a fan of the EU. When Ted Heath took us into the ‘Common Market’ we were told it was to ‘make trading with each other much easier and to reduce the possibilities of future aggression”. At the time there were protests of the birthing of a ‘Super State’, which were immediately poo pooed by politicians and which history has subsequently proved to be the very object of their silent agenda.

These are the unfortunate/prophetic (you decide) words used in Wikipedia, as the organisation grew (My underlining) : “In 2009 the European Community’s institutions were absorbed into the EU’s wider framework and the community ceased to exist”. Profound or what!!!

When you look at the way Greece is now being ganged banged by the IMF, World Bank and ECB there is certainly no community spirit there, given that it was abusive moneylending practices that created the problem for them and the rest of us in the first place. Then there is my primary gripe with the whole set up. For each of the last 20 odd years the EU has not had its accounts signed off because not all the money can be accounted for.

‘Community’ doesn’t enter the equation for this elephantine bureaucracy, which was designed by the corporate world and politicians for the corporate world and politicians. What is happening to Greece demonstrates just how much the banks are in charge now and how little they care about community. Greece is being reprimanded in the most obscene manner, as its people are reduced to penury so that the moneylenders can extract their pound of flesh, whilst also providing a warning to the rest of us.

We must watch closely what is going on there, as it points to a repressive climate being prepared for us all if the troika are allowed their head. Slowly they are massaging the European countries into a single entity, where they will rob us of national identity and public assets in a quest to homogenise a Capitalist state and market place.

With the power of the unions reduced, people will be constantly migrating to survive on lower and lower wages. From these lowering wages they will also be expected to pay taxes that not only fund these bloated bureaucracies but also the interest on vast debts, plus bailing out equally bloated corporations when they come unstuck through their dubious business practices.

When you look at the EU, absolutely nothing is designed for the benefit of the people. Taking down national borders seems friendly enough until you come to recognise that immigration is a one way street and little has been done, by the thousands of people employed and justified by the Brussels ‘rice pudding’, to develop a growing multicultural society.

They can talk about fish quotas and design endless forms to ham string small businesses but any question of integration of the diverse cultures does not interest them. They are only capable of regulation and totally incapable of management. ‘Union’ should be struck from the title!

For me the latest and greatest sin is the deliberate and contrived years of secrecy they felt necessary to cloak their dealings with the US in, over the democracy crippling TTIP agreement. It demonstrates the leverage the banks have over the European political establishment, as it has politicians supporting a powerful agreement that effectively strips them of their powers to regulate for the protection of the people who have elected them.

Sentiment is growing against a power that, as it has grown in size, has become more and more detached from those who elect it. As a species we are obsessed with building vast empires which become too big for us to manage and subsequently fall away in ruins. Back in the 80’s Enron was a perfect example of this, where not only the company but its financial advisors, one of the world’s largest accounting firms, collapsed through fraudulent practices designed to convince everyone they were both successfully growing ever larger.

Their activity pales into insignificance however, compared to the 2008 financial tipping point that was the banking scandal. To stave of the inevitable ruination the biggest confidence trick in the history of our species was perpetrated with the cry “Too big to fail”. It may have bought them some time but we have a failing and bankrupt global financial system that others, including the Chinese and Latin American countries, or the internet, will eventually replace.

The EU is headed for its own tipping point as it’s failing financial policies and gross misuse of stolen national powers propels a growing resentment by a duped European electorate. When the crunch comes and maybe Greece will precipitate it, we will again be threatened by that familiar cry of “Too big to fail” and our only response this time must be, “You failed because you were too big!”

Jobs for the Boys . . . And Robots!

“Humanity is going to require a substantially new way of thinking if it is to survive.” Albert Einstein

Whilst technology is gradually uniting us as a better informed species, it is also becoming the greatest threat to our future survival, as more and more jobs are being taken over by ‘Robots’.

As driverless cars make their entrance so professional drivers will be wiped out! Computerised artificial intelligence is not only threatening drivers and production line workers either.

It is now becoming so clever that professional jobs such as accountants, doctors and petrochemical engineers, to name but a few, are coming under the scrutiny of the technocrats. Creative people seem safe, at the moment, as these clever machines struggle to do the work of gardeners, cooks, entertainers and artists.

As reported in the Sunday Times, such is the threat that it has Stephen Hawking, Bill Gates and Elon Musk voicing concern, something therefore we should all pay attention to. Certainly the big companies such as Facebook, Google and Amazon are directing a sizeable chunk of their vast resources into technology that replaces workers.

Amazon are now hiring 10,000 robots in their warehouses to replace existing jobs done by people and experimenting with drones that would make their army of delivery drivers redundant. This however pales into insignificance compared with the leading electronics manufacturer in China who is looking to replace 1 million workers with robots!

Such are the challenges to the conventional workplace that time was given over to the subject at last year’s World Economic Forum in Davos. Whether the attendees were absorbing this information with a view to saving jobs, or to adopt it and fight off competition is a moot point but I fear it may be shaping the future thinking of these powerful decision makers, if it has not already done so.

Of equal concern is a new phrase now entering our vocabulary with ‘the internet of things’. This relates to the ‘intelligence’ we are now giving household goods, cars and many other devices we use in our daily lives that can send and receive information without human intervention.

Whilst they may seemingly carry tangible benefits, our greatest concerns have already manifested in their contribution to increasing Surveillance that can determine where we are and what we are doing. Not only this but with everything connected up, who controls how the information – often intimate information – is used and managed?

It seems that the real movers and shakers in this new robotic world will be those who manage the robots! Not that there is much relief on the job front, as it doesn’t take much to work out that only a fraction of the current numbers of managers will be needed to direct and control these ‘totally compliant employees’.

There is no doubt we are in unprecedented times as a species. We have survived and evolved with the industrial revolution, which previously had the greatest impact upon how we lived and worked. This new technology revolution, I would suggest, is something we could struggle to evolve beyond.

My primary concern is that it could destroy the very foundation upon which we fulfil our most basic of functions as human beings. The ability to provide a home and the traditional means by which we bring up the members of the next generation.

I am nowhere near as clever as the people now creating our future lives in this technological age but I do question the practicalities of what is being propounded. At its core Capitalism is primarily kept afloat by people buying goods and services. It is this simple process that provides the opportunities for new business development and the profits for established businesses. Worker’s wages buy employers goods and services that in turn pay worker’s wages.

Whilst there will be Jobs for the Boys in this future world, where the leaders of technology companies and their few human employees are the only players but how can these few sustain Life on Planet Earth? It will sound the death knell of huge numbers of traditional businesses such Car manufacturers, Big Pharma, Construction companies, Airlines and Governments. The human beings who need these products and services will not be able to buy or support them and the ‘new breed of workers’ won’t need them!

We have lost all understanding of what Life is truly about, as the 99% are discarded like chaff in the whirlwind of addiction to profit and power that has now gripped Society. Edward Snowden (see P.S. below), has given us a chilling insight into the global abuses of technology and it won’t end here, in spite of this brave man’s efforts.

Until the next time

P.S. I have just watched Citizen Four, the award winning film of how Glenn Greenwald and Laura Poitras worked with Edward Snowden to bring his revelations out into the world. Not only is it an intense real life thriller, it is a true record of this incredible man, his genuine humility and the sacrifices he has made, breaking with his family and loved ones, to make us aware of the enormity of the abuse we are now being subjected to.

I would ask you to take just 2 hours out of your lives to watch this, if you want to and realise how grateful we should all be for his bravery and sacrifices.

(Vivid evidence of repression at work – Launched in October 2014, why is this ‘award winning’ film not available on eBay or Amazon?)

Are We Sleepwalking Into The Next Election? (Part 2 of 6) Democracy Surveillance and the Internet

parliamant photo

In this new millennium 21st century Society is saddled with systems way past their sell by date.

. . . A 15th century democratic system, complete with glass ceiling

. . . An 11th century monetary system that increasingly holds the world to ransom

. . . A 2000 year old surveillance system being replaced by modern technology

Voting with what we now have will never solve the problems we now face

In this series of 6 posts I will offer a view on why I think we might be sleepwalking into Election 2015

Part 2 – Democracy Surveillance and the Internet

In part 1 of this series I argued that the UK Parliament is no longer fit for purpose. Of greatest concern to me is that they have allowed, and been a party to, the sudden erosion of democracy that has occurred since the financial collapse of 2007/8, in tandem with other governments around this planet. The more I read and understand about the events following this irresponsible financial disaster, it becomes clear that rather than doing the honourable thing in bailing out the banks to safeguard the world economy, we have been manipulated into a power play for global domination by dramatically increasing poverty.

People were not consulted about this vast transfer of financial resource from the many to the few because it was meant to demonstrate that democracy, as we have known it, no longer has any teeth. In just a few short years large corporations have turned themselves into global entities that wield more power than many governments, and are not accountable to the electorate within this new ‘democracy’.

In this new order, profit not social infrastructure rules, accountable only to the bottom line and not the people who contribute to that profit. As these monoliths cruise the world seeking out the cheapest labour and resources, people have become trapped in a regime of repressed wages and social standards that are taking us back to the Victorian era.

They are also forced to pay for the social infrastructure of transport, healthcare, refuse disposal, benefits etc. essential to the smooth running of businesses that abuse them, as those same corporations evade this responsibility by relocating their offices to tax havens around the world.

All of this is supported by Governments, desperate to hang on to power, who have been seduced into taking on mind-numbing levels of debt which can never be repaid, turning themselves into ‘corporate servants’ in the process. Remember, they are now obligated to selling off our public services at discounted prices as a condition of the loans and debt they have taken on! Continue reading

Yesterday I looked in stunned disbelief at the headline in The Independent – ‘Philip Morris International threatens to sue Government if plain packaging introduced’, with a picture of a cigarette pack beneath it. Something we have all been fearing with this Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership has already begun . . . And the deal hasn’t been ratified yet as I understand it!!

What does Philip Morris know that we don’t was my first response, closely followed by “If this is the beginning, where will it all end?” As a Society we have been nurturing the abolition of smoking for many years now. Laws have been passed that would now appear to be totally worthless with this agreement, undermining the very fabric of our democracy.

And what happens if Philip Morris win an obscene ‘profits over health’ action such as this. Does it create a precedent for the other brands to jump on the bandwagon and take our Government for zillions? Let’s not forget that this is taxpayer money we are talking about here. What you have is a lunatic situation where a corporation could take our money without selling any of its products because of this crass agreement . . . Corporate Utopia!

If we then follow this to its logical conclusion we will have sports car and motorcycle manufacturers suing the Government because of the 70 mph speed limit on motorways as it is harming sales of their speedy machines and impeding profits. An identical situation to cigarettes I would suggest, where legislation designed to safeguard our welfare is restricting profit growth.

Far more frightening to me is what havoc could be wreaked upon our food, as manufacturers sue because they are banned from using additives to prolong the life of their products and the knock on effect to their bottom line. Let’s face it their track record is already worrying, particularly in the case of companies such as the king of GM, Monsanto! Continue reading

I Hate the Phrase ‘Ruling Elite’ They are Not . . . ‘Elite’ that is!

Elitist

By Tewy (Own work) [GFDL (http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/fdl.html), CC-BY-SA-3.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/) or CC-BY-2.5 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.5)], via Wikimedia Commons

This is the definition of ‘Elite’ from Wikipedia:

In General, elite means the more capable group of the peoples. The selected part of a group that is superior to the rest in terms of ability or qualities.

I would like to argue that this phrase has now come into common use to define a superior group within our species who are somehow better or more qualified to hold the positions they do than the rest of us. I would also argue that to be better or more qualified implies they must have gifts that benefit the rest of us, or else why are they elevated to this dominating position within our Society?

What we are actually defining is a group of people who have skills in the creation and management of wealth, and who apply those narrow skills diligently to protect and grow that wealth and the power that comes with it. This process of protecting and growing comes at a cost to the remainder of Society, who are suppressed from gaining similar rewards for their efforts. If this is the reality, how can they be ‘Elitist’ by the above definition?

The process itself is achieved by sponsoring and directing governments (which the majority have elected to power), to pass laws that benefit them. Whilst this is now a commonly acknowledged practise what is constantly overlooked is that if we had not elected those governments into power in the first place there would be nothing to sponsor or direct. I accept that we elect governments into power from the information we are given, or because of tradition, but in the end it is OUR power that sets in place the means by which the ‘Elite’ manipulate Society for their benefit.

If this power base of government cannot come into force without our compliance then surely it is us that are more capable and superior in abilities with the real power and must therefore be the “Elite”. Our compliance is far more powerful that any amount of money! Sadly however, what is happening at present is that instead of us dictating what government does for our benefit, we hand that power away by not making our presence felt once we have put them in power, and worse . . .  governments know this!

We have the tools to take back that power and assume our rightful position as “Elitist” through greater application of our growing skills with social media. This has already been proven with many successes already under our belt across the globe. The ‘Ruling Elite’ believe in themselves first and foremost, and with this self-belief they then use the tools at their disposal. It is time for us now to find that same self-belief within every one of us, in that respect we are no different to the ‘Ruling Elite’. We must now find it, trust in it and use it, the tools are already there.

But also we must find a new phrase for our new found power . . . “Elite” really doesn’t work for me and I don’t think it does for you either!

Until the next time
